The LanGuardian console port is the async serial port on the rear of
the machine labeled TTY00. The serial port on the
LanGuardian is wired as DTE (data terminal equipment). This is the same
as a dumb terminal or a workstation would be wired. Thus, a null-modem
(or cross-over) serial cable should be used to attach a terminal to the
console port. The terminal connected to the console port should be
configured for 9600 baud, eight bit characters, no parity and one stop
bit (the canonical 9600,8,n,1).
